About
Hi, I'm Nicholas.
Founder, President and CEO of Clearstone Financial in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
I write for Atlantic Canadian homeowners, investors and families who want their mortgage, insurance, investments and financial plan to work together. My perspective comes from handling those connected decisions within one independent practice.
A mortgage decision can affect available cash, insurance needs, investment contributions and retirement plans. Yet those conversations often happen with separate providers who each see only one file. I created this publication to explain how the pieces connect, using plain language and specific examples for people making financial decisions in Atlantic Canada.
What I cover
Connected financial decisions
I cover financial planning, insurance, investments, mortgages, retirement planning and the Smith Manoeuvre™. You will find explanations of how a strategy works in practice, where one decision can affect another, and what questions to ask before choosing a product or changing a plan.
Who it's for
Atlantic Canadians planning ahead
This publication is for homeowners, investors, first-time buyers, professionals and families across Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. It is especially useful for readers managing several financial relationships or considering how a mortgage can fit with investing and long-term planning.
How I work
One plan, carried through
At Clearstone Financial, I coordinate five areas: financial advisory, insurance, investments, mortgages and the Smith Manoeuvre™. My Clearstone Strategic Implementation Framework™ moves through Discovery, Onboarding, Implementation and Ongoing Service, so each recommendation can be considered alongside the rest of a client's financial life.
